Obwohl die Menschen mehr ihrer Begierlichkeit
als der Verehrung Gottes folgen,
sollen sie dennoch eingebaut werden in das Heilswerk Gottes.

Jerusalem, your foundation was built from collapsed stones.
These were corrupted publicans, sinners and lost sheep.
But when they were found by the son of God,
they rushed towards you and were adapted into your structure.
So your walls now flash with living stones,
soaring like clouds in the sky,
uplifted by the great zeal of their good will.
Thereby, Jerusalem, your towers lighten up like gold
and brightly shine from purple
and from the splendour of the saints,
from all God´s glory which you own, Jerusalem.
