The inner and outer Temple

How lovely are your dwellings, Lord of Hosts!
My soul longs, and even faints for the courts of the Lord.
My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
Yes, the sparrow has found a home,
and the swallow a nest for herself,
where she may have her young – Your altars —
Lord of Hosts, my King, and my God.
Blessed are those who dwell in your house,
they are always praising you.

Tehillim - Psalms 84:1-9

The Blessing of God
U
nless the Lord builds the house,
they labor in vain who build it.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the watchman guards it in vain.
It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late,
eating the bread of toil;
for he gives sleep to his loved ones.

Tehillim - Psalms 127:1 + 2

Prayer of David for the Temple, the House of the Lord
Lord our God, all this store that we have prepared
to build you a house for your holy name comes of your hand,
and is all your own.
I know also, my God, that you try the heart,
and have pleasure in uprightness.
As for me, in the uprightness of my heart
I have willingly offered all these things:
and now have I seen with joy your people,
that are present here, offer willingly to you.
Now bless the Lord your God.
