This idea and initiative is wonderful, and I will support it with pleasure. Do you know the beautiful temple the Yogananda-people have built in their Ashram in Assisi some years ago - with very little funds of their own, but with very many donations and much help from all parts? By this it became clear, that this building was really wanted and so it received the 'support by the Heavens'.
